Outside of a dog, a book is man's best friend. Inside of a dog it's too dark to read.” —Groucho Marx

From Pen and Paper

Hello Cherie, and Miff and anyone else that may peruse this blog. I just wanted to let you know that since I have been retired and at loose ends, I am going to try and make my dreams come true finally. I am starting my first book and I am hoping you will be my peanut gallery to ensure I finish my projects and do my best to get them published!

I have an idea for a children's book in mind and it is firming up rather nicely. I want my son to illustrate it and I really hope it will be a success! I have a non fiction idea in my head, well two of them actually and I promised my mom I would write one romance story and dedicate it to her. All of my writings I hope will run in a Christian vein with either a moral or encouragements from scripture.

Wish me luck.....Cherie your Christmas letter lit the fire...so tell Lise' I am starting and let's see if she beats me to the punch. Will you give her my blog link? Maybe she and I can encourage one another to write and get this party going! If she does beat me to it, I desire an autographed copy of her first book...and I will reciprocate!

From heart to fingers, from pen to paper, from keyboard to publisher--what a journey this will be!
