Outside of a dog, a book is man's best friend. Inside of a dog it's too dark to read.” —Groucho Marx

About Me: Grandma's Page

Hi, my name is Beth and I am grandma to 3 boys, ages 10,11,12 and one granddaughter, age 1.   My goal is to impart a love for reading with these young minds!  Oh they are so smart and it is hard to keep up with them while they are waxing strong and I am waning.  I hope I wrote that right...lol.
Here's a pix of my grandbabies, actually all of us.   We couldn't get the baby happy, so we all cried with her, well most of us.   When baby ain't happy, ain't nobody happy.

Usually we are a happy bunch...and so is the baby.

Anyway, as I recently read in another blogger's post, "I am techtard" and I find that a suitable handle for myself.    I love to read and I love to share my reviews, but I am helpless when it comes to computer know how.   I can't even speak tech-chatter with my dear husband who understands computers and has the patience of Job.   Some days I learn a lot by just fiddling with my PC or my Kindle.   I would be surprised if Kindle support does not know me by first name.    I'm trying to figure it all out...lol.

My favorite genre is mystery suspense and a bit of romance thrown into the mix, but I'll try just about anything and there are darned few books out there that I don't like for one reason or another.

I love horses, dogs and cats and would rather live in the country than in the city.

I have a sweet and patient husband, a son and one daughter...all of whom I am very thankful for and blessed by their very existence.

In my younger days I loved chocolate, but not so much anymore.   Today I love the red velvet cake ice cream and diet Mountain Dew.   The diet Dew may never leave the picture, I am addicted.  The ice cream craving may change overnight, but not today!

Someday I will write a book.  I have a children's book ready to publish if my artist gets the drawings completed.  And I have started a romance novel...but it is very slow going as I would much rather read.

I also love Jesus...he's my best friend....he's helped me through a lot.  Unfortunately, I owe Him everything, but we're working on it.
