The Accidental Don by Guy Tirondola / Rabt VBTour Review

This is one of the two reads I got behind on in October when I was ill, so today, I will give you my review of the Accidental Don, which was indeed well worth the read!!   My original post can be found at http://bethartfromtheheart.blogspot.com/2012/10/the-accidental-don-by-guy-tirondola.html.

Well let me first say, I was totally invested in Don De Luca's Family, which consisted of Don, Isabella, Julia and baby Donato.  The characters in this book were well developed and  quirky.  The bad guy, Frank, was believably frightening and I was tense during his scenes.   And the Boot was also convincingly as a mob boss...also scary.  Isril, an albino black was a critical character and I adored him and his wife Mina.    I enjoyed the character interaction and truly appreciated Don's huge heart of Gold.

I also appreciated the quirky theme of the book.   Yes, Don was an accidental Don, through no fault of his own, but he was clever enough to accept the opinions of the town folk and use it to his advantage.   This made for an enjoyable read and happenstance action.  To me the
clever premise of the story and the odd characters made for a hilarious read with a few "thrill and tense moments" interspersed.  I love a book that surprises me and although I was expecting a mystery thriller, there was so much offered to the reader!

I rate this book a 4 out of five winks and applaud the author for the enjoyment he provided!
