Book Blurb / Cover
Her whole life, it had just been the two of them. Before her mother’s last breath, she gave Camille the information she had craved her entire life: the identity of her father. Daring to contact him, Camille was welcomed by an entire family she never knew existed. But nothing comes without a price, as she discovers when her family claims a legendary heritage tracing back to a Centaur touched by Zeus.

As she learns the secrets of her Centaur bloodline, she is drawn into a forbidden love with Drake. Her family acknowledges her life may be the blood debt required to pay for her mother’s transgressions. The same person who once held her mother captive, and forced her into decades of hiding, now controls Camille. Her only chance is to seek a piece of her mother’s past that will win her freedom and the life she desperately desires.

My Review:

Unbelievably well written.  Very well developed characters and interesting storyline....I ate this right up!    From start to finish in one day, fast paced, strong lead character...what more can you ask for?  I loved it!

Centaurs and mythology...is it truth or fiction.   Our Heroine Cami adjusted rather well to a father she never knew, an ancestry that was unbelievable, and a loving family that welcomed her wholeheartedly...five brothers when she had been raised as an only child.   After the death of her mother, she had no one and now she had a large family and was to find out about another full twin brother.   She even had a grandmother who was so hateful and evil, she could now understand why her mother had never claimed her.

I believe the excellent storytelling and the centaur subculture amidst modern day life made this mythological/fantasy read what it was...EXCELLENT. I rate it a 4 wink+ out of 5 winks.

Followed you back hon!

Nice review on the book :) like learning about books I have not heard of before

I try not to leave books unfinished. If I do its because the book frustrated me or I just really didn't like it.

I've always had a very strict NO DNF policy but lately I've decided there are too many great books (and too little time to read them) to waste on something I'm not enjoying. I did not finish John Updike's Villages.

I usually read a few chapters and if I can't get into it then start another book. I have way to many I want to read to read one that doesn't interest me. Unless it is for review of course or a book club

I try to finish books. I figure it's not fair to jusge w/o finishing, but that's me and sometime it is pure heck to get to the end. Argh, Wasn't the case with this book though..it flowed beautifully!

I try really hard to finish a book and will usually try more than once, but if for some reason I can't finish I don't force it. If I force it I tend to shy away from future work by that author, when it might just be the one book that I couldn't get into reading.

It would probably drive me crazy if I don't finish a book so I usually end up picking it up again.
Great review!
