SLAMMED--by Colleen Hoover...A Review

I read book two of the Slammed series before I got my hands on books one and three.   But I must say, when I read Slammed, book one, I had the same heartwarming feelings and romantic desires that were invoked from the second in the series.

Wow, what an awesome book!  I love Colleen Hoover's writing!  She just speaks to the heart.   You could be a thirteen year old reader or an old grandma like me, and the writing would still imprint on a romantic heart.   There is magic in her words.  I love what I read and how I feel what she writes.

Slammed was about a couple who met and yes,
there was insta-love, but not in a sexually explicit manner.  Will is a twnety one year old teacher.   Layken was an eighteen year old high school student.  Who knew what consequences would be spawned from their burgeoning relationship?

To me, this book was a compelling romance with strongly believable characters and an extremely romantic storyline.

I gave Slammed a 5 wink rating.

Here's the SYNOPSIS:

Following the unexpected death of her father, 18-year-old Layken is forced to be the rock for both her mother and younger brother. Outwardly, she appears resilient and tenacious, but inwardly, she's losing hope.

Enter Will Cooper: The attractive, 21-year-old new neighbor with an intriguing passion for slam poetry and a unique sense of humor. Within days of their introduction, Will and Layken form an intense emotional connection, leaving Layken with a renewed sense of hope.

Not long after an intense, heart-stopping first date, they are slammed to the core when a shocking revelation forces their new relationship to a sudden halt. Daily interactions become impossibly painful as they struggle to find a balance between the feelings that pull them together, and the secret that keeps them apart.

Disclaimer:  I read for my pleasure.   I may receive ARC copies for review purposes, but I am not compensated for my reviews .  I like to read and I like to share my reviews.   I post my thoughts without prejudice or bias.  The words are mine and I write reviews based on my humble opinion.  I will admit, I seldom meet a book I don't like.  I purchased this book in paperback for my personal collection.
