Santa Wore Combat Boots by Barbara Witek......Review

On the 6th day of Christmas, my true love gave to me, hours to spend reading.......Morning Peeps!   How are your holiday plans shaping up?  Busier than ever before?  Are you calm because you have things well in order?    Whatever, your case may be, I wish you Christmas joy and peace in the days to come!

Now let me tell you a little about this short, fun Christmas tale, beginning with the SYNOPSIS from Good Reads:

Emma Turner feels like her life ended with the death of her husband. Three years later she’s doing the best she can for her children and moving through life on autopilot. She doesn’t believe true love can happen twice in a lifetime. As a matter of fact, she doesn’t believe in much anymore. Putting her trust in one honest man might be just what she needs to move forward.

Bound by duty Jake Nicklaus never imagined he’d cross the line and fall in love with the woman he swore he’d watch over. If only he’d died on that chopper instead of her husband, she wouldn’t be hurting. The only way to heal her heart is to show her how to live again. Finding the magic in Christmas is the perfect way to start.

Will one kiss under the mistletoe change their lives forever?

My PERSPECTIVE:

During the holiday season, who really wants to get pulled into a long drawn out affair?    Well, truthfully, I easily could be, but I know almost everybody is busier than I am, Lol.    But this little romance is only 86 or 87 pages and it is such a sweet story.    Over the years, Emma has lost the spirit of Christmas despite the fact her young children are at prime ages to believe in the magic of Christmas.   Their neighbor, Jake Nicklaus is obviously Mr Christmas Magic himself, when he babysits the children one evening and determines to revive the Christmas spirit in their mother, with their help of course!   Emma will always love her deceased soldier husband, Larry, but she is tired of being alone.   She really doesn't know how to move on, until the sweetness of her children and some Christmas Magic comes to help her out!

For a little magic in your life, you might just add this to your reading list this month!   It's a heart rendering tale.
