Return to Arethane by Kelly Riad/SG VBT

Book Blurb:

16-year old Emily has accepted her fate with each weakening beat of her heart, but after her best friend's brother and sister arrive in town and turn out to be more than what they appear, Emily's life is turned upside-down. When their friendship includes confronting wizards who harbor dark secrets and dancing with an elf prince, Emily discovers there are some things still worth living for.

My Review:

I would  classify this as a fantasy read.  It was beautiful and well written.   Characters were very well developed and I very much adored them.

Things change for Emily when her BFF, Daphne comes to school in towe with her older brother and sister, Jarrad and Kara.Kara is filled with confidence and is unapproachable by everyone, leaving Emily afraid of her.   Jarrad is gorgeous and too taken with Emily.   They become fast friends.  Emily is smart and observant and has a heart condition...she only has maybe a year left to live..with luck two.   She has watched Jarrad bring a dead dog back to life, roses bloom as Daphne walks by and seen Kara visit the lake in a
ghost like form.   Who are these new found friends of hers?   How do they do what they do?  Thus begins a journey to the land of Arethane and an adventure of a lifetime for sweet Emily.

This was fun and fast read and I hope to continue the series as Kelly appears to be an up and coming storyteller in deed!  I gave this book four stars
