My name is Cyclop Blaine and I am a real
person.
“You are mine.”
I am a real person: heedless of a childhood spent under the supervision of an old man I only know as Master.
“You belong to me.”
I am a real person: regardless of my teenage years bound by violence as the adoptive son of the Victory Street Gang's leader.
“You will obey me.”
I am a real person: despite the visions I see in others' eyes. Snapshots of their futures.
“You will cower before me.”
I am a real person: my life will be my own. I belong to no one.
“You. Are. MINE.”

My Review:
When I first started this book I was distressed to learn Cyclops was a gay individual. I would by nature steer clear of that kind of literature, but I continued to read and was pleasantly surprised--the fact Cyc was gay, was not a focal point of the story. During his stay with a gang, colors green, Cyc also met Amber and questioned his feelings for her. He had a special gift and could see the future of others when he made both eyes contact with another. Always tortured by nightmares that someone was searching for him and questioning his sexuality and his gift, Cyc only wants to be free and normal and in control of his own life.Who is it searching for him and why? What is his fear of the lab, from his unremembered memories? The author provided a steady build up of the questions in Cyclops's mind. What made Jacob and Keanna and Cyc different from Nigel? The very last chapter revealed all the answers that Cyc and the reader wanted to know....well I had no inkling that the book would end as it did. Maybe I should have figured it out, but I didn't and I felt as if the last chapter was a bit disjointed from the pace of the previous chapters. Overall, it was an interesting and clever read, especially for those who are into Sci-Fi. Lots of adventure in this read and I rated it 3 out of 5 winks! Quite thought provoking.

if you read it Katja, I think you will enjoy it. Certainly different from what I normally read, but I liked it.

Well now I get to follow you in return! Thanks for following my blog earlier. I always enjoy reading reviews and since I write and read, mm and mf both, I enjoy the perceptions of readers going out of their genre/relationship comfort zone. Great review!
Beth, thank you for posting your review on Amazon and GR too. =)
